It’s all in how you look at things…

You know, life hands you a lemon, you make lemonade.

In the car on the way up, I listened to an interview with my favorite economist, Paul Zane Pilzer, famed author of Fountain of Wealth. It was recorded in 2004 and his view of the world is so fantastic. He sees upside to every problem. He actually encourages you to look at problems as a solution waiting to be born. I guess you can say this is the true entrepreneurial spirit.  

So as I looked at the sheer face of the cliff, there was a problem. Do I really want to do this? The climb begins…

The rocks were large and friendly enough. Generally there was  place for your foot and a hand or two and only on a couple of occasions, it took a few minutes to figure out which was the best way to approach the next ascent.

It wasn’t long before we were standing on the top of a very rugged mountain over looking a tranquil valley.

It was the birthday of one of the party and we celebrated on the summit. I know it’s hard to see the upside at times, it may not come naturally to everyone and at some point we all are brought to our knees by some calamity or misfortune.
 

Our birthday girl is a cancer survivor and has learned a lot from her own experiences in caring for the body, eating for wellness, and preemptive actions needed to stop cancer before it begins. You may be hearing more from Jane in the next few days and weeks.
