Increasing HDL – 3 ways

By rescue1250

Hi Carol,

You pose an interesting question: How to increase HDL being allergic to Niacin. You wrote, need to increase HDL but am allergic to many medicines, and cannot take niacin. Any suggestions

There are 3 ways. First, I have to ask, is the allergic reaction you feel to Niacin a flush feeling? Does it last more than 15 minutes?

My holistic doctor says that the niacin is not working UNLESS you feel the flush sensation. We have been told it’s an allergic reaction but if you can build up your tolerance of niacin it would be worth it. The body can be trained to do the right thing but sometimes we need to train it.

Increase Fiber: The more fiber you take, the more cholesterol is binding and being expressed out of the body.

Increase Exercise: No one likes to hear this but its again a matter of what we are looking at and focusing on. Increased exercise burns up LDL cholesterol thus improving HDL and its ratio to LDL, very important. Here’s a tip: Pick 3 activities you like to do. Things that are fun that involved movement. Alternate and rotate between 3 different activities can help you to find more time to exercise.

My 4 favorite things are:
*Walking in nature
*Biking on Trails
*Kayaking
*Yoga

I just take turns doing different things and its not hard to reach my calorie burn goals.

Taking 6 – 8 Res-Q capsules daily in two doses, is certainly the right thing to do for overall protection of heart health.

A fourth thing to consider is your energy level. Our Superior CoQ10 (Ubiquinol) is a huge difference maker for heart health and muscle energy. After Res-Q 1250, I would consider this a major needed supplement for anyone over age thirty.

I will send you a free canister of Res-Q Fiber for asking such a good question.

I hope this helps.
