Heart Attack - New Ways You Can Prevent It. Susan Freinkel
Posted by: | Comments
This article appeared in Reader’s Digest in the August issue of 2002. Oh, I want to tell you how I found this article. (See end of post.)
It chronicles the story of Allan Levy whose father died at age 59 from a heart attack. My own dad had his first heart attack at age 48 and his second at age 55.
It mentions Pattern B trait of LDL, which simply means the LDL are small and dense. It’s better for you if they are big and fluffy. They won’t stick to the artery walls as easily. I never heard about this from my doctor and only heard it from my natural alternative health advisors at the Your Prescription for Health.
Here’s the treatment for Pattern B - eat a diet low in saturated fat, exercise and take regular doses of B Vitamin Niacin. (Res-Q HDL+ -Niacin- the most inexpensive product on the shelf.) Also check out Res-Q’s LDL-X2 with Niacin. It’s a PhytoSterol complex along with Niacin.
Another villain written about in the article is inflammation, which doctors are only now starting to pay attention to.
You know the cholesterol theory of heart disease has a lot of missing pieces to the puzzle and statins are toxic to your liver. I was never happy with the idea, I have destroy my liver to save my heart.
In fact, I later learned that statins reduce the production of Co-Enzyme Q10 which is needed for muscle energy. So statins can’t really prevent heart attacks and actually may do damage to the effort of becoming heart healthy by robbing you of CoQ10. (Fortunately for you and me, the Japanese have invented a reduced form of CoQ10 called Ubiquinol that will remedy the ill effects of lower CoQ10.
The cool thing about living in the 21st century is that I can google the author, Susan Freinkel, to find out that she is an accomplished author and lives in San Francisco. I just sent her an email hoping I can reprint the 2002 article for you. We’ll see.
So what cures inflammation, you may wonder? Omega-3 fish oil and the premium brands work best. By far, the best deal out there is Res-Q 1250 an approximate equivalent in strength to Lovanza which cost $160 a bottle unless your insurance covers it.
I just got my lipid profile back. My HDL is low and could use a boost of Niacin. Thankfully, I have a well stocked warehouse!
So how did I come across this informative article from 2002? While I was in WVa on Memorial Weekend, while staying at the Harrisville Inn, I found reading material in the rooms, a bit dated of course. Anything that screams heart attack on the cover will get my attention. Most of the points in this article are still not in the mainstream and I am convinced it takes at least a decade or more for news to travel through the medical community.
I would be remiss if I didn’t tell you about my new website for Heart Health….!!!….

Cholesterol Is It a Bad Thing?
Posted by: | CommentsThanks for writing. The Omega-3s in Res-Q 1250 are by far the best prevention against heart attacks and stroke. Its anti-inflammatory effect reaches across the blood brain barrier and you are doing the right thing.
Cholesterol reduction is a slightly different topic. I know high cholesterol is considered a high risk factor, but once again there are better questions to ask. Cholesterol is a natural substance that is needed in the body and the body will produce the amount that is needed or being called for according to what is going on and in this case in the arteries.
In 2002 the homocysteine theory came back into play and many doctors and scientists who study these things feel that the toxic amino acid called homocysteine is really the culprit to blame. This amino acid scrapes the walls of the arteries and a strong negative reaction occurs and the body rushes cholesterol in to save you from the internal bleeding that would otherwise result. What to do about blood pressure
Posted by: | Comments“I am having a problem getting my blood pressure under control.i am currently taking 320mg of diovan hct which helps but the side affects are unbearable.what can you suggest?”
There are two products on our site that can be used to control blood pressure. But before I recommend and point you to them, I want to disclaim a couple of things.
1. I look at high blood pressure as a symptom with an underlying cause. So a look at lifestyle issues is a must.
2. Besides supplements that will help, diet modifications can help and of course, taking 4 ten minute walks a day will help. Even yoga has been shown to help.
http://optimalhealthrsq.com/content/view/219/269/ - Hyperlose, house brand, each bottle contains 45 day supply.

I agree that the side effects of most pharmaceuticals have to be weighed against the benefits and there are always alternative therapies available.
